WMTD Tooling repair

Die casting is a harsh environment for tooling. Cracks, wash out, heat checking and breakages are a part of production runs. West Michigan Tool & Die makes repairs and rapidly returns tooling to production.

Excellent capabilities include welding in various grades of tool steel, tool pathing, cutting or EDM burning, surface treatment, polishing and stress relieving can all be done in a time sensitive period.
 
Replacement cores, ejector pins, date codes, engraving inserts, sub-inserts, wear plates, locks, parting line locks, alignment blocks, vacuum, chill and vent blocks, guide pins and bushings, slide gibs, and slide faces are repaired or replaced at WMTD.

The staff’s skilled craftsmen make repairs from 3D cavity data, part data or even part prints by modeling the area of repair, through reverse engineering.
