est Michigan Tool & Die, a builder of
die cast mold dies for over 30 years with an excellent reputation and has two divisions
and a diverse product line. ARK Industrial Machining, WMT&D's CNC turning division was
added to the company in 1996 and allowed WMT&D to cross market shot end components to
exisiting die cast customers, while adding the diversity of existing non-die cast,
non-automotive, precision lathe turning customers.
(Click here for the company's timeline)
West Michigan Tool & Die and ARK Industrial

Machining operate 100% debt free and in 2005 were granted a 15 year Tool & Die Renaissance
Recovery Zone by the State of Michigan. Future growth potential looks excellent, due to ongoing
efforts of the existing sales and management team to remain flexible with product
lines and diversification of customer base.
The management team was lead by Jerry Jackson,
co-founder and majority share holder, until 1999. That year, he announced his retirement,
and an end to his involvement in the day-to-day operations of West Michigan Tool & Die.
His position was filled by Steve Jackson, who continues the operation of the company currently
as General Manager, and minority share holder.
West Michigan Tool & Die became a ISO 9001-2000
registered company in 2003, a member of the Berrien Tooling Coalition in 2005, and has been a NADCA
member since 1984, and has adopted, and continues to strive toward many Lean Manufacturing
practices.
The customer base includes multiple Tier I
automotive suppliers, a General Motors direct vendor code, a Whirlpool Corporation direct vendor

code, and a diverse collection of automotive and non-automotive clients.
One of the most attractive portions of the
business would be the real estate, and opportunity for future expansion. Situated on roughly
10 acres of Commercial/Light Industrial real estate, 1/2 mile off Exit 28 of I-94. This
geographical position puts the company roughly mid-way on the corridor traveled from Detroit to
Chicago. Our 'campus' includes West Michigan Tool & Die, ARK Industrial Machining,
a mold polishing shop, ONYX Mold Polishing, and several other commercial rental properties.
With great workmanship, leadership, innovation,
and management, West Michigan Tool & Die builds and will continue to build tooling, prototypes,
and industrial components that meet or exceed customer's expectations.
